But I love it.
We finally celebrated Christmas this weekend so I didn't have time to write posts in advance. It's 5:00 am and I'm going to try and get this post done as quickly as possible so I can go to work and
Menu Plan
Breakfast: Once my bananas become ripe then smoothies, before that, I'm not sure. I guess I could try the smoothie without bananas but I know from experience that the banana is what makes the smoothie. At least for me.
Lunch: Salads with beans or yogurt dressing for protein. Plenty of veggies.
Dinner: Here's the deal. I made enough Thanksgiving dinner for my entire family and extended family. Only my mother and MIL came (they picked up the big girls from my daughters) due to various unexpected things that folks had going on. All legit but I have way to much food. So this has a massive bearing on my menu this week.
Monday: Christmas leftovers
Tuesday: Christmas leftovers
Wednesday: Christmas leftovers
I'll be focusing on the veggies while the men in the house will focus on the turnkey. Tuesday night I might start calling you to come and eat it with us because after Wednesday it will be bad. Leave your number if you want a call. :)
Here's the other thing about Christmas dinner. I was so focused on that, I didn't get my meals planned this week.

What's the latest you've celebrated Christmas? Ever worked out so much you feel like you can't walk?

I totally learned that bananas are what makes the smoothie, it brings everything together! Love the Christmas pics!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Christmas 2012 in 2013! I don't think I've ever made it into the next calendar year with a Christmas celebration, but it's been close some years!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Carla! Hang in there with the Pilates training girl, it gets better:) I wish I was visiting St. Louis this week instead of this past summer...I'm game for all the leftovers:) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how that turkey will last another three days it was SO good, wish I had taken some home.
ReplyDeleteGreat dinner.
You better start planning Easter it will be up on us soon, hopefully no one will be sick and we can have Easter on time.
Thank you again for a wonderful late Christmas celebration!
Don't worry about the turkey. With my family, it always took us 5 days more to get the turkey eaten and it was always still good. No one ever got sick.
ReplyDeleteI have ran out of bananas before and used mixed frozen berries or frozen peaches for smoothies and they were very good too. So now I just go that route when the bananas run out. I really liked the peach one.
Oh, on the working out. I truly could not walk for a couple days just this week after walking a mile. Here is the thing. I have bad knees and should have know to start out slower. But I wanted to try this new tape and got into it and kept going. I have a prescription knee cream that has done wonders, but guess what, that has expired so it did not help any either. So I limped around with a cane for a couple days. So, now I know to go slower again and spread the workout into shifts.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, sounds like a ton of food. At least you get a break from cooking for a few nights!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to be one fabulous Pilates instructor! I think the late st we celebrated Christmas was the following week because so many were sick one year. Can you believe this was the first week in my entire life that I planned dinners? I feel so badass!
