My Original Intro
I decided to do a weekly round up type post of some of my favorite blog posts. The reasons why? One, I don't feel like I'm sharing the blogging love enough (other than on Twitter...I'm just crazy about that place) and two because it's just downright hard to come up with content all week when you're just one person. So why not let other people write it? Seriously, if I read it and loved it why not make sure others are inspired by it too? So I've decided to call this Saturday Sound Off...why? Because all the good stuff was taken. hahaha!
Turns Out I Have A Lot to Say
I decided to keep my original intro because it's so laughable to me right now. Why? Because it's 3:45 am and I have so much on my mind I got up to write a blog post. Teehee! Not to mention that I had a horrible dream that some crazy witch looking lady came and stole Jeffrey the Cat. But when I went to check on him he wasn't in bed with me anymore. Yes, I have cat issues.
How to Get Pinterst Followers Update
First off, a little Pinterest note. In my post on how to Gain 400+ Pinterest followers a week I said to follow everyone back. I even emphasized it. Well, that was before I realized that there were dirty people on Pinterest. How naive am I? Sorry, Naughty Hookups I won't be calling your number or following you back on Pinterest. So if you're offended by that type of thing like I am you do not have to follow back. I only hit 324 new followers this week but that's okay. I'll take it :).
I've Started School
Over the last year I've mentioned my desire to become a Spencer Pilates Mat & Ball Instructor. I said that the thing holding me back was the money to do it. Guess what? No more! Last night I officially took the plunge and am now starting my studies to be a Pilates Instructor. Can I get a woot woot? I'm not sure how long it will take me because after review (yes, I scanned the whole thing first) it's a little tougher than I thought.
Jill Conyers over at Fitness, Health, & Happiness along with Marathon Mom have announced a free Virtual Race Series to help with 13 in 2013. So signed up and am there! I love that there are so many free virtual races that I can do while I gain my confidence. You rock!
Why don't you join me? You do not have to be involved with 13 in 2013 nor do you have to run every race. Plus there are prizes involved. Hello, prizes!
Do you want some great, healthy, and simple appetizers for your next party?Abby at Back at Square Zero has a great recipe for Simple Crab Cakes. I love that she always has the nutrition info.
Two gals who have stepped outside their comfort zone and really gotten their groove on. So proud of you!
Britton over at My Big, Beautiful Life has signed up for her first 5K. Please go by and support her in this! As you're aware, I'm still not comfortable enough to run with actual humans breathing around me so this is inspiring to me. Plus we run at about the same pace so I'm really not sure what my deal was. I wish Britton were in STL so I could run with her!
Nellie at Brooklyn Active Mama taught her first Zumba class. Once again, another inspiration for me since I really don't do much with all of my certifications. I rarely even post an actual Carli approved Real Into Workout. Nellie has such an amazing support system and her cousins and people from church came to her class to get their Zumba groove on. Fun!
Adrienne over at The Mommy Mess wrote a great post on How to Write a Blog Post That Gets Shared. In the introduction she discussed how we feel pressured to write a daily post and sometimes send out sub par writing in order to get out there. Busted! She has a lot of great content in this post about having great content!
I've been wanting to do some printables. No, not cute little tags for your gifts (I'll leave that to the awesome crafty ladies) but to do other things. I have the recipes figured out but I think with a few more tips that I received on making printables from The Purposeful Mom I might be able to get this blog rollin'.
