Oh, it’s been a whirlwind of a month and I’m thinking that March isn't going to be much different. I was asked to be a part of Revolt and that starts on Monday. However; I had some super great news that came via email which will take up quite a bit of my time come April and run through September. More on that later as I’m not allowed to disclose the information yet. Saturday (tomorrow –eek!) is my first core fitness class. Let’s just say a lot of things are happening on the fitness front and I may have to reprioritize come April.
I made all my food this week on Sunday and have been very diligent with my foods. Turning down cookie offers …. and even chip offers (okay, I might have had one. Because I can eat only one.)! I don’t see a huge difference between last month and this month but once that diet change in eating behavior really takes hold, I think we’ll see a huge difference. I put out my bikini to remind me that I don’t want to be wearing that thing with a muffin top twelve weeks from now. Yes, another bikini countdown reminder.
This weekend I’ll be running my 5 miler for 5 by 5. I tried to get a few miles in this week so I wasn't running cold. Hmmm….is that even proper running verbiage? I’m not sure. I’m also training for an 8K race. And even though I’m already running 5 miles this one is “live”. You know; with people around me and all. So I’m wondering if I should focus on increasing my speed so they aren't standing around wondering what the heck happened to me OR if I should increase my distance so that five miles doesn't feel that hard. Runners? Can anyone give me a clue? I’ll also start running outside when there is no snow so I can get used to it. But seriously, no snow.
Progress Pictures...
Please ignore the fact that my pants don't fit!

February:
I'm seeing some slight progress. It's hard to tell from the side because for whatever reason I posed this month instead of relaxing. In all honesty I walk around like that all the time. hahaha! Okay, that wasn't honest. Early April Fools.
My weight is down a couple of pounds and my body fat went from 26.9 to 25.4% which is a loss of 1.5%. My goal was 2% but sine I wasn't eating that well until last week, I'm pretty thrilled with this. Now wouldn't it be great if we could just control where that fat came from? Sorry, folks, there's no such thing as spot reduction.
In February I'm loving....
My calves! It was hard as heck to take a picture of them on my own but I think you'll get the gist.
I do not do specific exercises for my calves because they are so muscular without it. When I've tried doing specific exercises for them I look like someone stuck the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man on The Incredible Hulks legs. Not very appealing When I wear heels you can really see the diamond shape to them. Now if only the rest of my body would cooperate!
Small Talk:
What are you loving about yourself this month? Can you help me with my running question? Can you believe it's March?!?

I had the same question today...No I can't believe it's already March! You & I have similar calves lady, they look lovely! My question is why do you tease us on the blog with that intro...what gives??? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI would love to say but I have a signed contract. No revealing but it's super good. Sadly it'll be a whole month before I can say!
DeleteJust FYI...when I saw the first photos I said in my mind, "DAMN, she looks great! Whatever she's doing is totally working" These were your BEFORE photos. Just so you know!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear what your news is! Way to keep us on the edge of our chairs!!

I have some goals I need/want to reach. But thank you!
DeleteDon't fall off that chair waiting!
Thanks for visitingy blog. Congrats on your weight loss. I have been working hard to lose some too and I am too afraid to weigh or measure myself. All of this blogging has allowed me to pack on some pounds! Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm not too worried about my weight as I am about getting more definition.
DeleteGo by how your clothes fit. Don't worry about the scale!
Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you love the Charity Miles app! I see that you do Zumba. I've been doing some Zumba classes too - I love it.
ReplyDeleteZumba is terrific!
DeleteI too thought your 'before' pics looked great! You are rocking it! I'd say, if you can already cover 5 miles comfortably, to throw some faster intervals in your training so youll be even speedier.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Do you happen to have a link or know someplace I can get some info on doing some speed intervals?
DeleteWOW...you are looking good babe, all your hard work is paying off. I started doing yoga, you have inspired me.
ReplyDeleteSo proud of you! I hope Dino is doing the Yoga with you. :)
DeleteYou look amazing! How do you get those hot abs?

Thank, you! Pringles and Mountain Dew? LOL!
DeleteYou look amazing. You must be so proud of yourself. And I'm with you, I can't believe it's March already. But I'm ready for spring. Happy SITS Sharefest!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, what's up with it being three months into the year? And I do the 8K the first week of April but with the snow I'm terrified that I won't get any running time outside.
DeleteI love how dedicated to working out and eating right I've become.
ReplyDeleteI've started to train 3 times a week for a possible 5k that I haven't signed up yet. Still looking for one and I don't know much about running. I'm actually reading about some stuff now.

I don't know much about running either but there are some great running blogs out there. I'd suggest www.jillconyers.com and just about anyone who you see comment on her blog. :) Jill does more informative posts as opposed to just personal stories.
DeleteOh my goodness! WONDERFUL progress...and congrats on instructing the classes too! Soooo happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I'm so excited about teaching!
