Real Into Reads No. 6

If you are reading this Saturday morning, I'm teaching my first fitness class. If you come back on Monday and there is a post...then I survived. :) If it's Saturday morning and this isn't posted yet, it's because I needed to chill before class.

Before I get to a few of the links that I collected this week, I want to thank The SITS Girls for featuring my post on how to gain over 400 Pinterest followers in a week. If you haven't read it, check it out! Yes, shameless self promotion.

Food & Cooking

Not that long ago I bought some veggie stock and almost cringed at the price. I was going to look up how to make my own but got sidetracked. Then I stumbled upon (see that people, stumble some posts!) this post from Angela at Working On/Working Mom ... Homemade Veggie Stock!

Paula at Call Me PMC had a a great post on How to Keep Your Kitchen Clean & Organized While Cooking. Now one would think that this is a no brainer but she had one tip in there that made me hit my head wonder why I didn't think of that.

Blogging

This is a great article on how to write a popular post. Lots of people do it (heck, I'm doing it write now!) but mash-up or round-up posts are some of the most popular posts out there. Check out this article for some great tips on how to make you mash-up smash!

Fitness

While this post is about yoga, it was also a great reminder for Pilates. Yes, you can use blocks in Pilates. Check out 3 Yoga Poses to Try With the Prop.

Five Ways Exercise Makes You Happy. Need I say more? I do think exercise is a stress reducer, regardless of the type of exercise you're doing. Less stress = more happy in my book!

Mind & Body

Over at Sky N Surf, Gwen, wrote a great post on Enabling Unhealthy Choices. It was met with mixed comments and I'd be thrilled to hear what you think. Should you ignore when someone is making bad food choices, help them, or what?

Jill Conyers at fitness, health, and happiness had some great things to say about how she controls her exercise induced asthma. If you suffer from asthma, especially if you're a runner, check this out.

Giveaway Reminder

Well, I have to run off to teach but before I go just a reminder to enter the Dry Idea giveaway. It's very low entry and someone is going to wind up with some extra nice smelling pits if more people don't enter.

    1. I wound up reworking my class. But I think it'll be worth it. Sometimes it takes time for a new instructor to get things right.

      Same to you!

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog. There were no plans for this weekend, but we ended up going to the zoo. It was a little chilly and it started to snow but it was fun and a great walk. I'll check back tomorrow to see if you survived your class!

  4. I think my favorite post this week was Kat from Sneakers & Finger-paints WDW Princess Half recap just because I am in crazy love with her Jasmine costume and now want to do the race some year so I can be a princess too!
